- Take Seventy Four: Tsk, tsk, tsk.

As much as bad grammar puts me off, there are several other things or rather ‘habits’ which put me way off. And I decided that I should officially make a list and see if other people also find them annoying or am I the only crazy one here.

STOPIT#1 : Inconsistency. Inconsistency of opinions, of attitudes, of behaviors. I mean, why is it so hard for people to stick to what they say? Or what they don’t say? Sure, we get influenced by a number of things and we may change the way we have been thinking about something, but OH MY GOD do some people change their colors FAAAST.  They say one thing today and will be saying something completely opposite tomorrow.

Word of Advice : STOPIT. Grow up and learn to be a little more steadfast in your views. If you won’t respect your own thoughts and go on changing them this very often, chances are you’d be diagnosed as a bi-polar patient and will be left all alone.

STOPIT#2 : Cheesy-Janu-Manu-Tum-Meri-Zindagi-Ho type attitude. Na toh mjhay apki zindagi bana hey, na apki ankhou ka tara. UFF. I just cannot tolerate such cheesyness man. It’s one thing to be into someone and a completely different thing to compare them to ‘dew-drops-on-roses’. Ewo. Some girls may find it cute, but not me. No, sir.

Word of Advice: If you are so in love, there are a million other things you can say to your ‘beloved’ which would not make her feel awkward. I never really understood why anyone would want to be compared
to a moon, or for Shakespeare’s sake, to a SUMMER’S DAY?  I wouldn’t. I’d rather fancy if you would not compare me to anything or anybody at all. Period.

STOPIT#3: Bad manners. Oh. My. God. Some people just don’t know how to act in public. Even if you look like Brad Pitt and chew food with your mouth open or wipe your nose with your sleeve… I don’t even want to talk about this, IT IS THAT ANNOYING.

Word of Advice: Everybody loves a well mannered person. You can have a burping competition in the privacy of your own house, in your own room, with another manner less sibling or friend but not around other people. It is just not acceptable.

STOPIT#4 : It’s one thing to be fun and lively and energetic and it’s a completely different thing to be just plain OBNOXIOUS. We all know that one person who tries way too hard to be heard.

Word of Advice: Take a deep breath and just…shut. Up. Kthanks.

STOPIT#5:  People who pretend that they are-too-cool-for-reading. They’d much rather listen or WATCH Ali Zafar, since he has been doing quite some interesting things, in some of his *ahem* movies *ahem*. And they blame only Veena. Not fair, world, not fair.

Word of Advice: Please read. Be informed. Reading is for super awesome people. (*-*) I’m sure Ali Zafar reads too. When he’s not busy…uhh well okay just forget it.

STOPIT#6:  And in this category I’ll put up all sorts of liars and cheaters and hypocrites and you know, the works. We all hate them. In the past, I too have lied about a few things, mostly to avoid conflicts and arguments and I know it is NO excuse and of course, it has always landed me into trouble. But now I try to keep it real and straightforward as much as possible even though it has successfully earned me the title of being ‘mean’ and ‘blunt’ and ‘insensitive’ but hey it’s okay. AT LEAST I’M NOT LYING ANYMORE.

Word of Advice:  As clichéd as it sounds, honesty really is the best policy.

Take Seventy Three- Stories.

For some odd reason, today my, people monitor was on. I went to this bank with my mother and while she filled in checks and stuff, I sat on a sofa, observing everyone, who came in and went out of the bank.

Soon enough, I realized that I just wasn’t noticing what clothes they were wearing or what color shoes they had on, but I was actually thinking of about how each and everyone of them must be having (and of course had) a story of their own, you know, like their own problems, their dilemmas, their moments of pride, their moments of fall and I don’t know why, but I was just so intrigued by all of this.

I’ve always been very interested in stories, fairy-tales, lame pixie’s being kidnapped stories, cute kittens being stuck in a tree type stories and the works. But now, as I grow up, I realize that each one of us has a story to tell of our own, whether they’d like to share the story is entirely subjective. And these stories of course, are far more interesting. And today, as I sat their all comfortably in that sofa, I realized that there is a story, around every corner, waiting to be discovered, heard, maybe even read. And if luckily enough, the story is good, chances are that it might also be retold.

I’m just so happy and the only reason why I’m writing all of this is because I’m so looking forward to being told many, many stories by other people, I’ll come across, in my life, sooner or later. Also, looking forward to, with even more fervor, that how would my own stories turn out. Some of them have already ended, good endings, ugly headings, omg-whatisthis-endings, but there are many which have just started and many which are yet to start. :)

-Take Seventy-Three : Y U NO.

The insanely popular (and let’s not forget funny and random and funny) Y U NO GUY seems to be my latest obsession. I don’t know, there’s something so intriguing about him, the way his little hands go up questioningly , the way his eye-brows turn into a frown and of course, his lips, which look more like a cross between a pout and  something else.

It’s almost as if you can hear him…which of course, you cannot, I mean, come on, I mean, really…I mean… Also, I think, that if we were able to hear him he’d have a thick Italian accent, you know, where you go like ‘ Y U NO-A DO A THIS-A’ . I have to give credit to the guy who is responsible for creating such a BRILLIANT MASTERPIECE kay uski shakal daikhtay he, awaaz bhi ajati hay.

I’ve been so smitten by the Y U NO GUY, that I’ve actually started to use his famous words in my daily life. For eg : I went shopping today and there was this Aunty who pushed me and I said AUNTY, Y U NO STOP PUSHING ME? Y U NOHAVE MANNERS? ‘ Of course,  the Aunty didn’t reply, I’m pretty sure she didn’t even hear me. Next time, I’ll be sure to carry a microphone with me.

When I was taking my final exams, there were a lot of moments when I wanted to say ‘PAPER, Y U NO MAKE SENSE? (Esp. in my Mass Communication paper, which only God knows, what is was) Similarly, the teachers who were on duty while we were taking the exams , talked non-stop, I wanted to say to them , 'TEACHERS, Y U NO SHUT UP? Or a less offensive line like ‘ TEACHERS, Y U NO WHISPER ONLY?’

Y U NO, is  obviously a grammatically incorrect phrase, but it is the only, and I cannot stress this enough, it is the ONLY, grammatically wrong phrase, I’m willing to over look because I am a very opinionated person and I really like the Y U NO GUY, and hold him in the highest esteem, so his grammar mistakes have been automatically ignored.

PEOPLE WHO READ THIS POST, Y U NO COMMENT?
A very special thanks to Zee, for telling me I should blog about him.<3

- Take Seventy Two- Facebook Profiles.

For most of us ( including me) facebook profiles can tell a lot about a person. But much of this depends upon how good of a stalker you are and how far are you willing to stalk that person? Personally, I can stalk for hours and hours. It is so much fun! It’s  free and the other person doesn’t even have to know about it. Unless you mistakenly click the ‘like’ button on a post which was made 6 months ago.

Then we have a problem. In situations like these, it is best to say things like ‘ Uh…my facebook id is hacked. Didn’t you get that viral video of a really hot girl and a message, asking you to open it? Dude. That wasn’t me. So there.’

But really, how much CAN you know about one person through their facebook page? My inner Sherlock Holmes has taught me that not everything, which people post and share on their profiles, is true. But I’ve noticed that most people, who cannot waste their time, pretending to be someone they are not, have started posting real information about themselves. Except for the ‘language section’ I mean, come on! Austrian German? Canadian French? Hrvatski? <--- I’m not even sure how this is pronounced!

Many people also like to lie about  ‘the work section’ like for eg, I have posted in my ‘work section’ that I am a waitress at Krusty Krabs. Which I am not. I only wish, I were. I’ve seen people posting things like ‘Working as a CEO OF BAD COMPANY'. Really? Really now?

But what about those who post random false information about themselves. Like remember the time, people used to post pictures of unknown extremely good looking people and had us fooled? Who would know that a model from Venezuela is not Akram Khan from Sargodha? For the love of God, what is wrong with you people?

Also, people who have flowers and hearts as their pictures, seem pretty fishy. Esp if they are a ‘male’ and were born in 1980. We obviously have something very wrong here. And profiles with names like Aisha Khan and are ‘male’ , interested in ‘women’ and studying at ‘Government College for Men’? What ARE you suggesting?

Jhoot bolnay kay liyey bhi dimagh chaiyay hota.
