- Take Seventy Five : Lifetime wounds ( Not as emo as it sounds)

There is no denying that ‘ Actions speak louder than words’. They do, but I remember reading this essay in one of my literature classes where the writer had argued how words hurt more than actions. And I completely agree with him.

If you hurt someone physically or someone hurts YOU physically, of course, you’d feel the pain, but there are ways you can get rid of that hurt. You can take medicines, maybe even apply some weird-smelling cream on your wound or God forbid if the injury is severe you might even get it operated on. What I’m trying to say is that, you can do something about it.

But when somebody hurts you with words, I really don’t think there is any medicine out there or any surgery to save you. No matter how much you deny it, no matter how much you act as if somebody’s mean words didn’t hurt you at all, they always do. And there’s no remedy for it. You may forget it for the time being, but sometime or the other, they do come back to you.

Bruises left by hurtful words are never healed. No amount of time can do the healing either. So next time, before you lash out on someone, do think if they are actually worth the life-time wound.  Be sure to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ and you might get the notoriously famous reply ‘ dosti mey koi please aur thank you naie hota’  but really, houna chaiyay. Acknowledging somebody’s efforts goes a long, long way.

You can always say sorry, you'd be surprised to know how many people wait for an apology and would forgive you in a heart beat. :)

You indent the hell out of your paragraphs, but I love the fact that you're conscious about your grammar. I wish all the Pakistani boys & girls were like you. I do! Really!
